I've been Boo-ed!!!

Good afternoon friends!

Halloween is in 2 weeks and I couldn't be more excited! I feel like a child! (OK so actually I could be more excited as Xmas is my ultimate holiday but I'm still quite excited!) I can't wait to see all the little cuties ring my doorbell and ask for candies. (or just point their pumpkin basket in my direction for the little ones... so cute!) I love to see all the different costumes and seeing loads of kids in the street. And also I can't wait to hit the 50% off candy sales on November 1st... yay! So speaking of Halloween, I have been boo-ed! What a fun linky Tori has created!

If you've been booed, copy and paste the above pic and these ''rules'' into your post.

1. Give a shout out to the blogger who booed you and link back to their site!

2. Share 3-5 October activities, books, products (yours or someone else), or freebie(s) that you love!

3. Share the Boo love with 5 bloggers - make sure you check this link to make sure you don't boo someone again:
And don't forget to tell them that they have been BOOED!

4. Link up [here] so that others can find you and read about your October ideas! And while you are there... check out other great blogs!

1. I have been booed by the wonderful Katie and Lisen over at Second Grade Smartypants! If you haven't checked them out, you really should! Plus, they are having a great giveaway at the moment :)

2. Here are some of my favorites, for October!

a) Robert Munsch's Boo!

I love all of his books and this one is so much fun to read to the kiddos on Halloween!

b) Hocus Pocus

Ok so maybe not really school related... but I LOVE this Halloween movie! I watch it every year around Halloween and it always makes me laugh. It's really old but to me... it never gets old! :)

c) Let's Get Spooky!

My little Halloween unit! A few fun activities to do with your kids, with a Halloween theme. Grab your copy in my TPT store!

d) My Frankenstein Craftivity

Teri over at A Cupcake for the Teacher made this adorable craftivity. I did it with my kids and they LOVED it! I have a grade 6 group and currently we are in French so I couldn't do the writing part. However, I needed a fun Halloween activity last week because half my group was participating in a cross-country and weren't at school and the others had to stay with me and work! Oh the sadness! So I had to find something that wasn't too workish and I tried this! They were in love with their Frankenstein! So I can just imagine how younger ones will like it! :)

3.  Here are the blogs I am Boo-ing!

Well there you have it!

I'm off to watch some Revenge and then work on a science project for my kiddos!

Until next time,

Tell me more, tell me more!

Hello again my friends!

So I'm breaking the bloggy rule of two posts in one day.... but I'm allowed! It's my birthday! :)
My wonderful boyfriend is preparing an amazing birthday supper and I'm not allowed to help... I can't even go in the kitchen! I'm so excited to see what he cooks :) Therefore I've got some free time!

I've been wanting to join this linky for a while now. I love getting to know my fellow bloggers! Here is your chance to get to know me a little better!

1. Nail Polish

I am obsessed with nail polish. Very much obsessed! I cannot go to the drugstore without walking out of there with a new bottle. I love them all! Neons, darks, lights, reds, pinks, blues, browns....any color can look good depending on what you are wearing! I change mine a few times a week. And what a fun obsession.... nail polish is a lot less expensive than shoes! :)
This is one of my favorite go-to shade. The name is My Chihuahua Bites by O.P.I.

2. My kitty

This is my adorable little kitty! Well, he's one now so he's a bit bigger but I just love this picture so much this is the one I wanted to show you! He is the sweetest cat ever. He follows us around the house! If I'm putting my makeup on, he's sitting on the bathroom counter, if we're cooking supper, he's laying on the floor in the kitchen, when we are sleeping, he sleeps on my boyfriend's bedside table. He's not like all the other independent cats. This little man needs affection and I'm more than happy to provide! :)
Funny thing, I never really liked cats. I was always more about dogs. But then I fell in love! Please, have you seen that little face? ;)

3. Fears

Two things terrify me in life: heights and small spaces.

Heights. I am really afraid of heights. Can't-go-in-the-ladder-while-apple-picking kinda scared! As soon as I get a little higher than I'd like, my knees start trembling and I want to cry. Seriously, it's not good! For some reason, I am still able to go on rides. I get really scared but as I am not the one in control and there's nothing I can do once the roller coaster has started, it's not as bad as when I'm going up a ladder for example.
However, one ride I will NEVER go on (you have my word on that) is this one:

x scream vegas

The X-Scream in Las Vegas! We're talking 1,149 feet above ground! Say what!!!??? My dad did this ride when he went to Vegas and was terrified! And my dad is not easily scared. No thank you for me! Has anyone ever been on this ride?

Small Spaces. I am also very claustrophobic. I do not like being trapped in small places. This summer I went on vacation and I had to take the plane. Planes are not my favorite. I mean hello! They combine my two worst fears! But I still manage to take the plane every year because going on vacation is so much worth it! But this summer I was stuck in the first row! Boy did I not enjoy that! Being in the first row makes you feel like you are in a tiny plane! :( I had to control myself and my fear because I was surrounded by little kids who were having the time of their lives and it made me feel ridiculous to be scared. But let me tell you next plane trip, I am requesting at least row 15!

4. Sports

I am not good at sports. And that is ALL sports. I've tried a few as a child. I really thought I would fall in love with one of them. All of my friends were doing sports! I tried baseball, tennis, swimming and gymnastics. Ok so I did do gymnastics for a few years but I was not loving it as much as I would've liked and I was no Nadia Comaneci! I do go snowboarding every year but then again, I'm not the cool snowboarder you see doing all the cool jumps! And I play tennis with my boyfriend. Well, play is a big word.... but still.... I try!
As a child I was so sad because I did not like sports and was not good at them. But now that I'm older, I'm OK with it! And I've realized it's not actually true that everyone is good at sports! I've met a lot of friends who are just like me! And also... isn't shopping a sport? ;)

5. TV Shows

I love watching TV Shows! But I love watching them on DVD so that I don't have to wait an entire week before I can watch an other episode.
As a teenager, my life revolved around Dawson's Creek and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Ah the roller coaster of the Dawson/ Joey/Pacey love triangle! I could not get over these shows! (and unfortunately could not watch them on DVD) I have watched all of the seasons and have loved these shows from beginning to end.

Now, I would say my favorite ones are Friends (which I still watch over and over again), How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Grey's Anatomy, Vampire Diaries (hello Damon!) and Criminal Minds.
I love watching shows! They make my life feel less dramatic in many many ways! And also, I always end up feeling like I actually know the characters!

6. Sophie Kinsella

I love reading her books! She is sooooo funny! Her books always put me in a good mood and are so much fun to read! My favorite one is The Undomestic Goddess. Could they please make it into a movie? :)

Well there you have it! Enough random things about me! I've told you more, now, if you haven't done it yet, it's your turn!

Until next time,

Hello bloggy friends!!!

Oh how I have missed you all! I was on vacation last week and have been running around all over the place since we've been back! I thought I would have tons of time to blog this summer but time seems to be slipping away and I barely ever have time to blog :( I'm so behind on my blog stalking too!

Anyways, so last week me and my boyfriend went to Cuba! Yay! The beach was soooo beautiful :) We did have a few cloudy days but overall it was a great trip! How could you not have fun when you're by the beach? Please! :) Going to the beach really made me feel like I was on vacation. No alarm and no school is great, but the beach really just takes it the extra mile :)

On an other topic, I have finally finished my back to school pack, Rockin' Back to School!

And finally, check out this great linky I've found!

Aren't we all looking for classroom decor inspiration this time of year? I know I am! I'm keeping my owl theme for a second year in a row (which I never do but I just love owls too much to move on!).  I really want to find as many ideas as I can so that my classroom will look amazing! (at least I'll work very very hard in order to get it to look that way ;) I'm going to go look though this linky for inspiration! If you find some cute owl ideas, feel free to share!! :)

Now, time for some blog stalking! And also I want to work on some classroom owl themed things. I'll be working extra hard to be able to share them with you ASAP :)

Until next time,

Font Linky Party!

Good morning everyone!

I hope you are having a great weekend! For the lucky ones already on summer break, hopefully you are enjoying your time off and the chance to sleep in :) For those of you still in school, like me, hang in there! We can do it :)

I saw a pretty cool linky party yesterday that I just had to join!! A font linky party!!

Isn't this picture the cutest? :)

We all know how important fonts are! They can completely change what a document looks like. For better or for worse! I do remember a time where I thought Kristen ITC was really happening! I used it everywhere as I was not aware there were so many great free fonts online (Hello Kevin and Amanda!!). Thankfully, I now download hundreds of great fonts and can't wait to download more with this linky party!

So here are some of my favorite fonts :

This is Pea Emma
I use it all the time!

This is a red bucket
The only thing is there are no capital letters

This is Elephants in Cherry Trees
It's so cute! Great for posters or titles.

This is Pea Summer Funkyness
Also great for posters and titles.
It looks really cute with different colored letters.
And I love the little hearts everywhere.....

This Pea Jone
Cute and simple!

So there you have it! My favorite fonts! Now I'm off to download a bunch of great new ones! YAY!

Until next time,

My Summer Bucket List

Hi!!

Teri, Hadar and April are hosting a great linky party that I just had to join!

There are so many things I wish to accomplish this summer! 2 months can be very long (I probably won't be saying this when I have kids ;) so I need to keep busy!

So here goes:

[ 1 ]

Start planning my wedding :) My fiancĂ© and I have been engaged since February :)  We still haven't decided on a date but I need to start planning so that I am ready when the time comes!! Maybe I can start by finding and trying out this beautiful gown ;) oh thank you Vera Wang!!

[2]

Go shopping in New York with my boyfriend! (and spend half my time at Abercrombie & Fitch :) Oh how I love New York! I haven't been in a few years and I am sooooo excited to go back!

[3]

Go to the beach with my boyfriend, my parents and my brother! Nothing says summer vacation like a few days by the beach :)

[4]
Bake Georgetown Cupcake looking cupcakes! And then feed my boyfriend and whole family with them so that there are none left for me! Or maybe just one or two ;) Why you ask? Because of [1] and [3] ;)

[5]
Finally making shakers for my classroom! I love this idea and I've been wanting to make my own but never found the time.

[6]
Make penant banners for my classroom. I don't know that I have the talent to make them as amazing as these... but I'll definitely try!! (very very hard!)

And finally...

[7]
Create, create, create!!!!

And I also want my boyfriend to make me cubby holes for my classroom that I want to paint purple :)
Oh yes! I also want to go jogging! At least 3 to 4 times a week :)

So there it is! Now that it's online, I will have a constant reminder of what I want to accomplish over the summer so it will be good motivation for the things that might be harder to get motivated for.... (hello jogging!)

What do you have planned for summer vacation?

Until next time,
