Great news and Earth Day!

Baby S is here!!! Finally! She has arrived! Just when I thought I was going to be pregnant for the rest of my life, there she went and surprised us on April 4th :) The day after my April 3rd due date. We are so blessed! She is in perfect health and she is just the most beautiful little bundle of joy. We are enjoying every second with her... and also every second we can get of sleep :p I'm on maternity leave but the bf had to go back to work. So I'm spending my days cuddling with Baby S and nursing, nursing and nursing. Wow! For a tiny human being she sure drinks a lot! I've decided to start watching Glee during my nursing sessions because daytime TV is not all that exciting. And btw.... why was I not watching Glee before? I love this show!! Someone should've told me sooner how addictive it was! Anyways, today is Saturday so my bf is home with us which I love. He's sitting on the couch with her which is the cutest thing :) Here are a few pictures of Baby Sophia:

Isn't she just precious? I love her so much!! :)

And I also have other great news to share... I'm moving to first grade! Yay! Firsties here I come! Ok so I won't be back until March of next year but still... here I come anyways! I had the choice between keeping my grade 6 class or switching to grade 1. I'd been wanting to go with the little ones for a while but hadn't had the opportunity until now. The opportunity finally came and so I decided to take the plunge. I am so excited!!! There are many things I love about older kids. The fact that they are so independent and can do so much on their own, the actual content to be taught, kidding around with them, getting them ready for high school.... but on the other hand, there are also so many things I love about little kids! And probably so much more I will discover in March 2014 :) I'm really really happy about my decision!

And last but not least, I have an Earth Day pack in my store which I never got around to sharing with you. So if you need something for Monday, be sure to check it out here!

Until next time,

Currently!

Happy April Fools' Day! or... NOT! Am I the only one out there who does not like April Fools? I am so happy I am not working this year so that I don't have to go through this day at school. Obviously I want to make my kiddos happy and not ruin their jokes so I have to pretend like they catch me everytime.... even though you hear the same jokes year after year, and minute after minute on that special day :p So anyways this year I get a free pass and I'm pretty happy about that! :)

Although I do not like April Fools... I do like April 1st! For me, spring officially begins in April. There's nothing springy about March! Well at least a Canadian March! So now that April is here, I feel like spring is going to finally kick off and come our way! Yay! And with today being the first, it's time for a Currently! So I'm linking up with Farley for yet an other awesome Currently linky!

1. I love the Vancouver one!  And I swear it has nothing to do with the fact that I'm from Canada...! I just get really into this one. Although I do love them all, these housewives are my favorites! I love how all their drama makes me feel like that things going on in my life, that I thought were drama, seem like no biggie! Hehe!

2. The weather has been amazing all Easter weekend. Although today it's raining, it's still warm so I'm ok with it. I took out my spring jacket on Friday and it felt so good! I think I was as excited as when a child is told he can wear shorts in June! And I'm liking that my baby is going to be born in warmer weather. Perfect for stroller walks :)

3. OK so obviously I've been feeling this way every day for the last week.... And I'm not sure I would be that excited for Baby S to be born on April Fools.... but I guess by if it were to start soon... she wouldn't be here before tomorrow anyway so I'm ready! Wednesday is my official due date.... I can't believe I might be more than 100% pregnant if she doesn't get here by then.... I was so sure I was gonna give birth during week 39..... oh well! What do I know right?

4. I am really craving a Starbucks coffee right now. I am going shopping later on today so I might just grab one at the mall. Decaf of course :p When in a latte, you can't really tell the difference between decaf or not.  Perfect for pregnant mommies :)

5. I really want a whole bunch of clothes for spring. I am so fed up with my maternity clothes I can barely look at it anymore. I love all the colors and pastels for spring... Everything is so cute! Hopefully, I can go back to my pre-baby body quickly so that I can actually wear all this cute stuff! :) And new clothes always put me in a good mood!

6.  My tip is to have fun creating products for TPT. My best-sellers are my products I had the most fun doing! I guess you just really put your heart into it when you like creating it! And it shows in the final product.  Creating is such a great part of our teaching job.... therefore it should be something you enjoy doing! It shouldn't feel like a chore. When you have fun making something, it will also show when you present it to your kids and they will like it too! It's a win-win! :)

So there you have it!

Until next time, (hopefully next time I can introduce you to Sophia ! :)

Easter FREEBIE!

Ok so spring is officially here. However, I do believe that spring has not received the memo! It is definitely NOT looking like spring here in Quebec... :( Not only is it cold... but we got snow this week! And as if that wasn't bad enough.... it turned into a huge storm! We got something like 30+cm of snow..... what??! why? How unnecessary! I am more than ready for the joys of spring to be here! Mostly, the warming weather and the melting of the snow.... but apparently I'm going to have to be a little bit patient... booo :(

And also, I'm now 38 weeks pregnant! 2 weeks to go! Although I do secretely wish she gets here sooner :) I am not tired of being pregnant.... as I've been pretty lucky so far. My belly is rather small so I don't really have any back pain and I'm sleeping well.... But I'm so excited to see Baby S I can't take it anymore! I want her in my arms soon! And I feel like it's taking forever! The closer we get to April 3rd.... the longer the days seem! I'm trying to keep busy so that I don't go crazy but I'm running out of ideas! I went for breakfast with a teacher friend of mine this morning. She had a free period so she had some time for me :) My house is super clean I don't know what to clean anymore! I'm about to wash the walls! My last minute shopping is done, pacifiers and bottles are sterilized, the car seat is ready, the snacks for the hospital are in a lunch box on the counter.... everything is ready! we are overly ready!

Ok enough about me! I've made a little freebie for you all for Easter! Because Easter is right around the corner! And it comes really early this year! So I'm sharing a cute class book you can make with your kiddos! I love class books! They look so cute when all put together :) Here's a look at the book:

You'll find 2 writing options and 3 cover options in this TPT Freebie. You can choose to use only one of the writing templates or do both!

There's also a black and white version in the pack but with different graphics.

So head on over to my TPT store to snag this freebie! I hope you like it! And if you do, I'd love to hear about it :)

So that's it for me today!

Smile! Tomorrow is Friday! :)

Until next time,

Spring, are you there?

Good afternoon!

Boy have I been productive! I was so scared of not having anything to do when my maternity leave started, that I'd planned mucho stuff! At least I feel productive instead of feeling like a lazy person doing nothing while waiting for the baby... Ok don't get me wrong, there have been many lazy moments in the past two weeks.... and for that I blame Drop Dead Diva and Real Housewives ... but mostly, I've been doing productive things! I've been cleaning like crazy in this house. It has never been cleaner... yay! My laundry is up-to-date, on a daily basis, which never happens when I work! I usually keep all the laundry for the weekend and then I'm stuck doing it all day long. But not anymore! :) I've also been baking some muffins and banana bread. Yum! I've written my thank you notes for my baby shower... which I still need to post btw! I've also organized our paper situation. Which was about time thank you very much! We used to keep all of our important papers in a big ugly box in the closet and had to go through all of them everytime we needed a specific paper. It was terrible! And so ugly! So I've neatly placed all of our papers in seperate folders and identified them all. Ok I still need to buy a new box... but at least now it's organized and less ugly.... I'll be on the lookout for a cute folder container! And of course, I've created some TPT stuff. Woohoo!

First, here are my Math Spring Centers!

This is my first math product and I'm really excited about it! Could also be due to the adorable graphics... :) Thank you Krista!

This pack contains 4 colour options: Purple, pink, blue and geen so you can mix and match :) And I've used my MissCandy font btw :) Click HERE to download the font for free! Just make sure you link back to this blog if you use it commercially. Thanks!

If you do purchase a product, I would love to hear what you think!

And for those of you interested, we have finally decided on the spelling of Baby S's name! We are going to go with SoPHia :) Love it! Let's not forget this is the way Sophia Loren and Sophia Bush spell it :) I just think it looks cuter and more sophisticated. I'm really happy we finally made a decision! Yay!

OK well I'm off to eat a bit... or a lot! We'll see!

Until next time,

Currently and an updated FREEBIE!

Hi!

So, I am officially on break.... for an entire year! Can I get a HOLLA? I cannot believe I will not be going back to school before March... of 2014... For the next year, I will be taking care of baby S and will be able to devote all of my time to her :)

Yesterday was my last day with my kiddos. It was sad. There might have been some tears. I found it very difficult to leave my students just like that... in the middle of the school year. And seeing them sad was heartbreaking! I promised to introduce them to baby S so I will be seeing them again before June. That seemed to make things a little better :)

On a brighter note, I've recently updated a TPT freebie. It looked pretty basic and I had some cute monster clipart that I was dying to use. So I've put them to good use and revamped my I have who has? game. I LOVE playing this game with my students and they love it too! We are always trying to beat our record times. So much fun! If you want to grab a copy simply click HERE. As always, I'd love to know what you think!

And now, it's time for March's Currently! I'm linking up with Farley and you should too! Just saying ;) I love the look of this month's Currently! It reminds me of Lucky Charms cereals... which are simply amazing thank you very much.

1. My bf is watching a documentary about hockey in Canada... so I'm hearing it... but let's be honest here, I'm not watching it. I am NOT a sports person... I'll manage to watch a few games during playoffs if the TV is on... but that's pretty much it. So a documentary? I'll pass.

2. I am so proud of myself for everything I've accomplished today. Yay me! I baked a banana bread, cleaned the washroom, reorganized our kitchen pantry, folded a bunch of baby clothes, made a pot roast for tonight and I was able to squeeze in two episodes of Drop Dead Diva in there too! Which I totally deserved :)

3. As mentionned above, I am now on maternity leave. Well, technically I'm currently on Spring Break and my maternity leave begins next Monday... but it doesn't really matter because whichever way you put it... I'm not going back to work for a whole year! Isn't that crazy? It doesn't even feel real..! Now don't get me wrong, I love my students and I adore my job, but I'm more than ready to have baby S and spending one year with my little girl. I'm not due for an other 4 weeks so I'll have time to do some major house cleaning (as I probably won't have much time for that once she's here!) and get everything ready for her arrival. And who knows? Maybe she'll decide to join us a little early ;)

4. So apparently my busy day has left me pretty tired and I can't even get up for a glass of water. I could blame this on my pregnancy... but I think I'm just lazy :p I'll go grab one as soon as I finish this post.

5. I'm getting my nails done tomorrow and I can't wait. I've recently discovered Shellac manicures and I am in love! It looks super natural which I really like. Plus, the place where I go has TONS of different colors so I always have different looking nails. That's the best part.. choosing the color! I have a sparkly charcoal on right now and I'm thinking about getting a light pink tomorrow. Although I'm scared that with my pasty white winter fingers it won't look as good as it would in the summer... anyways, I'll see!

6. I like spring.... mostly because it means that winter is over. And this year, winter has been particularly brutal with us. The cold, the snow, the storms.... I'm so over it. And spring also means that summer is on its way. What's not to like?
I am a huge candy fan. I could eat candies all. day. long. But obviously I don't because then I'd have to burn too many calories and as previously mentionned above, I am not a sports person ;) Skittles are amazing. I love the sour ones the best. The delicious crunchy exterior and the phenomenal soft interior gets me every time. Great. Now I want some. Good thing I don't have any ;)
I hate snoring. Hate hate hate. Thankfully, my bf is not a snorer. That would definitely be a deal breaker as I cannot sleep if someone is snoring next to me. And by cannot sleep I literally mean no sleep at all. It's the worst sound ever!

Well there you have it my friends!
Have a great weekend and for those of you who started their Spring Break... enjoy your week off!

Until next time,

Spring, Shamrocks and a Free Font!

Wow! I'm a such a great blogger! Please note my intense sarcasm. I have been so out of it with my pregnancy this year that my blog has been more than a little neglected. I'm so sorry! It's just that when I have some free time (which is barely never thank you very much) all I can think about is baby S and getting ready for her arrival!

So anyways, I did manage to get two new products up in my store in the past few days and haven't had time to share them with you. First, I've added a St. Patrick's Day pack. Great for the month of March!

You can find these Irish centers HERE :)

Next, my Spring Centers!  I know, I know.... it's a bit early to be thinking about spring (especially with today's snowstorm..... hello!... I've done my share of cold temperatures and I'm ready for the heat my friends!) but in case you want to get ready with all the cutting and laminating involved in preparing centers, they're there and ready for to be prepped!

You can find these centers HERE :)

Also, I've been playing around with iFont Maker and have a free font to share with you!

This is the font I used for my Shamrocks and Leprechauns Pack! I really like it... and I hope you do to! Feel free to use this font in whatever you would like, just make sure you link back to my blog :) Thanks!
Click here to download the font.

So that's pretty much it for me! Tomorrow and Friday are work days for me and then next week is my last week with my kiddos! Then it's March break and then my maternity leave starts. I'm really excited and a bit scared at the same time. Not being in school for a whole year....wow! I have a feeling I'm going to miss the classroom! But that's just the pregnant me talking I guess. Once baby S is here, I'll be really happy to be able to devote an entire year to my little girl :) And just so you know... I still haven't decided if I like Sofia or Sophia better.... It changes everyday! I feel like I'm never gonna be able to choose, then I'm gonna give birth and I'm gonna have to quickly choose one and I will just name whichever one pops into my head and then I'm gonna regret it!! Anyways I think I need to calm down about this f/ph debate. It's not like it changes the actual pronunciation of the name! But I still fell like it's an important decision and I want to make the right one :)

Have a great evening everyone! I'm off to do some baby laundry :) and then I'm going to watch an episode of Drop Dead Diva, which I've started watching last week. Does anyone watch that show? I LOVE it! It's perfect!

Until next time,

February Currently

Good evening!

Time for this month's Currently! Fun! So here goes:

Thank you Hadar for the cute font! :)

1. How I love The Big Bang Theory! Sheldon is so awkwardly perfect and Howard is just so hilarious. Watching this show always puts me in a good mood. Oh and here's a fun fact for you: I discovered this over Christmas break, while watching Christmas classics. Leonard, Johnny Galecki, was in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation! He played the son, Rusty! Maybe everyone knew this and you're thinking nice one Sara... but I'm thinking most probably not....! So I'm sharing with you because for some reason my bf and I thought this was really funny.

2. I love all Special K products. They have the best cereals and snacks ever!  And they are super healthy too! Right now I'm enjoying too many a few little cracker chips. They taste like chips but are baked so they have a lot less calories :)

3. So we're eating fish tonight.... but I don't know what to do with it. It seems this is a daily struggle for me. Every morning, we take out something from the refrigerator (fish, chicken, beef...) but then I can never seem to find a recipe to actually prepare the food! So now we've got fish... I was thinking homemade baked fish and chips but it seems like a lot of work and it's getting late and I'm getting tired. It might just end up being fish with a bit of seasonning... so not exciting..... :(

4. A few weeks ago I found I was pretty close to doing pregnancy diabetes.... so my doctor warned me to be very careful with carbs. So now I have to limit my fruit intake...because I am a HUGE fruit eater. I used to eat them all day long. Fruit juice for breakfast, fruit for snack, 2 fruits for my dessert at lunchtime, fruit for snack, fruit for my second snack, and then some more at night! Not to mention I've got to cut down on pasta, bread, rice... anyways you know what carbs are! And also.... no more desserts!!!!! As in no cupcakes, no cakes, no cookies and also no fast food.... booo :( So I haven't had chocolate in a few weeks and now I am really craving it.... a cupcake would be perfection at the moment (Haha! Everytime I hear the word perfection.... I think of Chandler in Friends when he got stuck in an ATM with Jill Goadcre and she offers him gum and he says: Sure, that would be perfection! And then he thinks to himself how ridiculous that just sounded..... I LOVE this scene!! ) Anyways, I could cheat a little and eat one bite of a cupcake... but who can eat one bite of something? What a tease! So I'd rather not do that to myself.

5. Yesterday, my principal had a masseuse come in to give us 10 minutes massages! Yay! It's teacher appreciation week here so this was a little gift for us :) So the lady told me I had major tension in my back and was in serious need of some massage therapy... and for some reason I've been feeling sore since yesterday.... So now I would need a full hour long massage.... that would be great :)

6. I can not stand the sound of people eating. It grosses me out and I find it super annoying when people do not pay attention to this and make so much noise that even the TV can not cover it.... Needless to say I can not eat without the TV on or music!

So there you have it!

Have a great evening everyone!

Until next time,
