currently!

It's time for a new Currently!
I'm linking up with Farley once again to bring you this month's post.

1. Not much to say other than when this happens, my laptop is my saviour!

2. I can't believe December is here! I am so in love with this month it's not even funny. I love Christmas and everything that comes with it. Everyone is just so happy this time of year and we get to spend tons of time with our loved ones! This year is also extra special because it will be my daughter's first Christmas. My heart might just explode.

3. Every year I want to do this and I never do but this time I really want to stick with one. I usually go overboard on my spendings and it's often because I forget what I already bought and I end up buying a lot more things than I originally planned. I'm sure having an organized plan will help me!

4. When October rolls around, all I want is a Pumpkin Spice Latte and when December does, it's all about the Gingerbread!

5. I'm going back to work in March and I haven't started planning for my return yet. I really need to get started! I have looked at a few books and blogs but nothing as serious as I would have liked! So I do plan on diving into this new adventure pretty soon :)

6. My mom still buys me a Christmas Advent Calendar each year. A chocolate princess one to be exact. She also gets one for my brother and my boyfriend. (a hockey version!) How adorable is she? I'm still a little girl at heart when it comes to Christmas and this just goes to show to what extent! haha!

Have a great evening everyone!

Until next time,

Christmas Countdown FREEBIE!

Wow! 2 posts in 2 days!
Stop. The. World.

I'm back today with a little freebie for you all!

To continue in my excitement of December being right around the corner, here's a little Christmas Countdown you can use in your classroom!
Simply print it out, laminate and use dry erasers to write down the days.
You could also use ribbon to tie it on to your wall or blackboard which would be really cute!

Graphics from Creative Clips

Christmas in the classroom is definitely my favorite holiday to spend with the kiddos. I always buy 2 chocolate countdown calendars, one for boys and one for girls. I draw a name each morning and a boy and a girl each get to eat a little chocolate. It gets them so excited it's not even funny. And those calendars are like $2. Great investment right there.
And the best part is you can keep a few for yourself as the kids are not in school all the way 'til Christmas ;)

Hope you enjoy the freebie!
And be sure to check out my December word work which is currently on sale!

Have a great day!

December Word Work and Grade 1

Hey everyone!

Hope the school year is treating you well :)

It's already mid-November which means it's already time to start thinking about December and Christmas! I know in my case I've been thinking about it since September but that's a whole other story!

I'm currently in the process of learning about Grade 1. As I've mentioned a few posts back, I'm moving from grade 6 to grade 1 which is a little stressful. I am beyond excited to make the move but also a little nervous since I've never taught this grade before. So I'm browsing Pinterest and TPT for inspiration and I'm on the hunt for some good reads. Suggestions are welcome!
I go back to work in March so I need to start working on getting into things. I wish I could use all of the many amazing resources on TPT but I'm going to be teaching in French only... and there aren't as many French sellers on TPT! I will of course be continuing to make English products because I love to create materials even if I don't always use them!
I can still read some English blogs for organization tips, center ideas, classroom management, etc. Any grade 1 blogs I should be following?

In other news, I posted a new product tonight:

This product is a set of 15 printables for December!

Head on over to my store to learn more about it.

It's usually $2.50 but will be on sale for $2 tonight and tomorrow!!

I'll be back soon!

Until next time,

Currently!

Oh how I love you October!!
Time to link up for a Currently
Haven't done one in a while so I'm pretty happy to be back in the game ;)

Listening: So Happy Criminal Minds is back! I love when my beloved shows come back when fall rolls around. I'm watching part 2 of the premiere and writing during commercials. How I have missed the amazing Dr. Spencer Reid. Oh My.

Loving: Fall is by far my favorite season. And with fall comes the incredible Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks which I can just NOT get enough of. Also, sweaters and leggings are back! Fall clothing is the best. My cold weather wardrobe is just so much better and more comfortable than my summer stuff.

Thinking: Now that my house is 'decorated' with Bath and Body Works' Pumpkin candles in pretty much every room, I need to get in on the real stuff. October is here, so here comes the Halloween decorations! I'm not decorating a classroom this year so I have to make up for that and double decorate at home! :) I need to buy a few fresh new items though because some are getting pretty old! And not in a good oh-it's-old-it-must-be-scary-and-good-for-halloween old.... just old and ready to retire!

Wanting: I've said it before and I'll say it again! I really need to post more often! I'm working on it :)

Needing: Canada finally has Target and I just can't stop going! That store is addictive! Both for a new mama and a teacher. Not good for the wallet.

Trick or treat: Fall has barely started and already I have a cold. Boo :( If you are looking for a medicine-free way of dealing with your cold this fall or winter, try David's Tea's Cold 911 tea. It'll make you feel better. Promise ;)

Don't forget to join in on the fun!

Until next time,

Centers + A Giveaway!

Hey everyone!

Wow. I'm having the worst time keeping up with this blog! Thing is, being on maternity leave for a year, I find there's not much to share school wise!
I do miss it though and I miss keeping up with other blogs as well. I'm keeping up with the Kardashians  much more than I'm keeping up with my favorite blogs! And that's got to change!
Anyways, I do plan on getting better and actually coming up with things worth sharing.

Fall is right around the corner... Although it's been fall in my mind since August 1st.
There's something about cooler weather, cinnamon smells and pumpkin foods that is just amazing beyond words.
Ahhh ! :)

A little update

If you are still reading this little blog, yes I am still alive.

I could give you hundreds of reason for why I have been neglecting this blog, but mostly, I've just been in a blogging funk I guess. Which began when I got pregnant. And has continued on with Sophia's birth. It doesn't help that I'm not in a classroom at the moment and won't be in one until March of next year. So I don't have much to share teaching wise.

I've got a bunch of TPT products in the works. Works is a big word here. Some items literally only have one page up 'til now. Including my summer centers. Which I hope to have ready before next summer :p I just haven't been in a really creative mood lately. I've been busy with diapers and baby snuggling and washing my  baby milk filled clothes and attempting to master the art of getting out of the house with a newborn and a bunch of other stuff. Basically, I've been trying to get a hold of this thing they call motherhood. But mostly, I've been enjoying time with Sophia and school is not one of my priorities right now (for the first time in years... which feels a little weird!)

I do plan on getting back on the school blog wagon, asap. I'm moving to grade 1 next year and I'm going to have so much to do, to prepare, ideas to look for, centers to create, teaching books to read and so much more. And I will be sure to share!

For those of you whose school's already out for summer, yay! Enjoy your summer vacation! And for those of you who aren't, hang in there, only a few days left until you get to enjoy waking up late and whatever makes you look forward to summer vacation :)

Until next time, (which is sooner than later hopefully!)
